<p><strong>Holy God &#8211; The Posture of a Christian</strong></p>
<p><em>When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. Then he placed his right hand on me and said: “Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last. I am the Living One; I was dead, and behold I am alive forever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades.</em> &#8211; Revelation 1:17,18</p>
<p>The book of Revelation, the last book of the Bible, has been given some of the wackiest and most flawed interpretations in history. While it does have some unique images, it’s not impossible to understand. It is primarily a revelation of Jesus Christ as the Son of God and ruler of the world.</p>
<p>In this passage, John has an encounter with Jesus. When Jesus walked on earth, He and John were close friends. But when John saw his Friend again, he saw who Jesus really was—bright, frightening, and powerful. This Jesus who was his Friend, now lives forever and controls life and death!</p>
<p>John did the only thing he could do—he fell flat on his face at the feet of Jesus. Confronted by a Holy God, John could only fall down and worship. That’s what worship is—a position of our heart when we see how great and holy our God is.</p>
<p>When we worship God, whether it’s in singing songs or the way we live our lives, we are saying, “God, You are great. You are awesome. You are holy. And this is the only possible response I can give.” If we lack passion in our worship, we don’t need a new style. What we need is a head-on collision with the Holy God.</p>
<p><strong>REFLECT</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>How do you know Jesus today? Do you know Him the way John saw Him in these verses? Does this knowledge affect your life at all?</li>
<li>How would you live everyday if you were absolutely certain that Jesus really is the ruler of the world? What would change about your day-to-day habits?</li>
</ul>
<p><strong> RESPOND</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Take some time to worship God today. Get your favorite worship songs, find a quiet spot to pray, block off some time, and just worship Jesus, our Savior and the Lord of the universe.</li>
<li>How do you worship God in how you live (in your studies, work, relationships, or role at home)? What can you do so that you can worship God in the ordinary daily things?</li>

<p>Read Exodus 3:1-15 • Psalm 15 • 2 Chronicles 7:13,14</p>
<p><strong>Holy God &#8211; Coming to Meet God</strong></p>
<p><em>&#8220;Do not come any closer,” God said. “Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground.” Then he said, “I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob.” At this, Moses hid his face, because he was afraid to look at God. -</em> Exodus 3:5,6</p>
<p>At this point in his life, Moses had spent years living in isolation. He used to be the adopted son of the daughter of Pharaoh, but he had to run for his life after he killed another Egyptian in anger. God was going to send him back to challenge Pharaoh. But to convince him, God had to show Moses who the real power was.</p>
<p>Moses saw a bush on fire but it wasn’t burning up. Then God spoke to him from it. God told Moses to take off his sandals because the place he stood on was holy ground. Taking off one’s sandals was a sign of respect and reverence. It means God did not want Moses to approach casually and frivolously.</p>
<p>In the same way, if we are to encounter the holiness of God, we cannot be casual or irreverent about it. Yes, God is our Father and in Jesus He is our friend. But He is also holy and worthy of our worship. This is why we’re taking the time to humble ourselves before God and say He is the most important person to us.</p>
<p>Even as we prepare for Ignite, where we hope to encounter God, we must remember this is not just an event or conference. We must be like Moses as we prepare ourselves for a powerful time with our holy God.</p>
<p><strong>REFLECT</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Are there times that you become relaxed, casual, or flippant with your relationship with God? Maybe it’s being overly familiar with worship songs, only reading your Bible to fulfill a requirement, not reading your Bible at all, or even hiding unconfessed sins. What causes this for you?</li>
</ul>
<p><strong> RESPOND</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Repent if the Holy Spirit convicts you of any of the things above. Thank God for His forgiveness and grace to live differently.</li>
<li>Confession is one of the most effective ways we can humble ourselves. Confess your insights with a trusted Christian friend.</li>

<p><strong>Holy God &#8211; Out of our League</strong></p>
<p><em>And they were calling to one another: “Holy, holy, holy is the LORD Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory.” &#8211; </em>Isaiah 6:3</p>
<p>Isaiah was a prophet in Israel who worked closely with King Uzziah, a good king who ruled Israel well, better than most kings in his time. But like all humans, Uzziah died and, with him, it’s possible that some of Isaiah’s hopes for a better future died as well.</p>
<p>Then Isaiah had an encounter with God—He who is bigger than anything he could ever have imagined. God was seated on His throne. The king of Israel was dead, but God was still reigning. The angels flew around Him but they covered their faces because they couldn’t look straight at Him. And the primary term they called God, three times for emphasis, was “holy.”</p>
<p>Holy means separate and transcendent—something totally above and beyond our situation. It means pure and set apart, something not polluted by anything ugly, evil, or imperfect. This is the God<br />
we worship.</p>
<p>When we approach Him, let us remember Whom we’re praying to. We are not on the same level as Him. God is much bigger than the problems we face; He is never out of control. God is not small-minded, immature, selfish, jealous, or irresponsible like us.</p>
<p>When we encounter Him, He leaves an impact on our lives that will not leave us the same. As we continue this devotional in preparation for Ignite, remember that we worship a Holy God.</p>
<p><strong>REFLECT</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>What is your view of God? When are the times that you forget how big He is? What are those things that often seem bigger and more important than God to you?</li>
<li>Remember instances in your life when you unmistakably encountered God. What was the situation? What did God reveal to you then? What was the effect on your life?</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>RESPOND</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Repent for not giving God the worship He deserves as a Holy God. Ask for His forgiveness and His grace to be able to see Him as He is.</li>
<li>Ask God to show you how big He is, just like He showed Isaiah. Take some time to worship God and pray in private, away from distractions.</li>
</ul>

<p>International delegates may claim their IDs at the Every Nation Asia Campus Conference pre-conference on May 28.</p>

<p>The number of registered delegates from the Philippines and more than a dozen other nations throughout Asia is so high that we now have to close registration! This is the first time we&#8217;ve ever had to close registration, and to do so with two more weeks ahead of the conference shows us how excited our delegates are, and, by faith, how powerfully God is going to work at the Every Nation Asia Campus Conference: Ignite 2013!</p>
<p>Students who will not be able to join us at Ignite 2013 shouldn&#8217;t feel too bad. We will be making podcasts of all the messages available, along with a host of other resources that will help you grow deeper in your relationship with God and challenge you to take a step of faith towards honoring Him in your campuses.</p>
<p>We look forward to seeing every single one of you at the Cuneta Astrodome from May 29 to 31 for the &#8220;can&#8217;t miss&#8221; gathering of student leaders from all over the Philippines and Asia!</p>

<p>First of all, <strong>no food is allowed inside the Cuneta Astrodome.</strong> Drinks are allowed, except for alcoholic beverages, which are strictly prohibited.</p>
<p>The Cuneta Astrodome has concessionaires selling around the venue; roving vendors will also sell snacks during the breaks. There are also restaurants outside Cuneta Astrodome &#8211; Jollibee and Mang Inasal, represent! &#8211; although we encourage delegates to stay inside the coliseum during the conference for their own safety.</p>
<p>Whether you&#8217;re a first-timer to Cuneta Astrodome &#8211; international delegates, holler! &#8211; or a true blue Manileno, there will be many sights, sounds, and flavors to experience for the duration of Ignite 2013! What are you excited to eat during the conference?</p>

<li><strong>Students</strong>. Pray that they will be set apart for God’s glory and purpose by making a difference in their respective campuses.</li>
<li><strong>Parents</strong>. Ask God to remind them of the importance of their roles as parents, in raising the next generation of leaders.</li>
<li><strong>Teachers and Administrators</strong>. Intercede for all persons in authority in campuses across Asia, that they may hold their students accountable to biblical standards and godly conviction.<br />

</ol>
<p><strong>Day 2 (May 15): Pre-Conference</strong></p>
<p>“<em>Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever</em>.” &#8211; 1 Corinthians 9:25</p>
<ol>
<li><strong>Speakers</strong>. Pray for a double portion of wisdom and revelation on them as they prepare their messages.</li>
<li><strong>Delegates</strong>. Ask God to refresh all our campus leaders and potential leaders, and to give them a godly vision for their respective campuses.</li>
<li><strong>Campus Missionaries and Volunteers</strong>. Believe God for grace, wisdom, and protection for all our campus missionaries and volunteers, that they may focus on their assigned tasks before, during and after Ignite 2013.</li>
</ol>
<p><strong>Day 3 (May 16): Ignite Experience</strong></p>
<p>&#8220;<em>Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things</em>.&#8221; &#8211; Philippians 4:8</p>
<ol>
<li><strong>International Delegates</strong>. Pray for our international guests, that they may take what they learn from the conference and apply them to make an impact in their respective nations.</li>
<li><strong>Campuses</strong>. Ask God to saturate every campus with the gospel, that life change in the believer-students may be very evident in the lives of all these students.</li>
<li><strong>Praise and Worship Team</strong>. Pray for our worshipers, that they may prepare the delegates for a powerful and personal encounter with God during the time of worship. Believe God for grace and strength for the whole team.</li>

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>With the Every Nation Asia Campus Conference: Ignite 2013 less than three weeks away, let&#8217;s not forget everyone’s safety! Here are some tips on how to ensure you are safe and sound before, during, and after our conference:</p>
<ol>
<li><strong>Don’t walk alone!</strong> Always have a buddy with you when you’re at Cuneta Astrodome.</li>
<li><strong>Take care of your belongings</strong> and <strong>don’t flaunt your valuables</strong>.</li>
<li><strong>Remember: ALWAYS wear your conference ID</strong> when inside the conference venues.</li>

<p>We encourage you to stay inside our conference venue. We have a lot of fun activities and surprises planned during our half-time shows and breaks. For your protection, we also have roving security personnel who can help you out if and when you need it.</p>
<p>There is also a Medics Booth for delegates who may need first aid.</p>
<p>Let&#8217;s be IGformed and not IGNorant so our Ignite 2013 experience will be safe and enjoyable!</p>

<p>Our Ignite 2013 committee is double-timing on our preparations to make sure Ignite 2013 is an experience you will never forget! We&#8217;re sure you&#8217;re also getting ready, especially those of you from out of town, arranging your accommodations and your transportation plans. <p>The program that follows covers only the message sessions; it doesn&#8217;t include all the other activities, games, and surprises that the Every Nation Asia Campus Conference has planned for its delegates! Stay tuned for more updates.</p>
<p>On May 29, Wednesday, gates will open at 4:00 PM. Session one will start at 6:00 PM and end at 8:00 PM.</p>
<p>On May 30, Thursday, gates will open at 12:00 NN. Session two starts at 2:00 PM; session three follows it at 3:00PM. A two-hour break follows, after which session four will run from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.</p>
<p>On May 31, Friday, gates will open at 12:00 NN. Session five starts at 2:00PM; session six follows it at 3:00 PM. After the two-hour break, session 7 starts at 6:00 PM.</p>

Well, we&#8217;ve made some handy instructions on how to get to the <strong>Cuneta Astrodome</strong>. So whether you&#8217;re going by car, by bus, by train, by foot, tricycle, bicycle, horse or flying broom &#8211; okay, maybe not by broom &#8211; here are some handy directions for you. <li>Drive all the way Taft Avenue southbound until you pass LRT Libertad station.</li>
<li>Turn right to Arnaiz Ave, formerly known as Libertad.</li>

<li>Ride the LRT-1 (Yellow Line) southbound and get off at Libertad station.</li>

<li>Walk your way (EDSA-bound) to Derham St., and turn right to get to Cuneta Astrodome.</li>
